I’m a twenty-something common-law spouse of a Canadian Forces Soldier. This journal will detail my life as my partner, M, and I go through his first deployment. I’m currently employed by the company that moves Canadian Forces members from base to base (or to their chosen place of retirement, when that time comes). It helps me feel like I’m doing my part to serve the men and women who have dedicated their lives to my Country.
I’m currently engulfed by what M and I call “The Army Bubble”, since the surrounding community is predominantly service members. We hope to change this post-tour and get back to “real life” in an urban setting.
